Seimar Open is an annual Kazakhstan golf championship.
The Seimar Open finds the Kazakhstan golf champion and presents the grand-prix Challenge cup the “Big egg”. Seimar Open determines the Champion of Kazakhstan on golf and hands over the Grand Prix the Challenge cup "Big Egg" http://site.seimarfund.kz/2007/09/10/2000_year.html. Grand Prix - the Challenge Cup "Big Egg", was founded in 1998 by Margulan Seisembayev http://www.continent.kz/2002/20/19.html. A huge ostrich egg in a glass flask was brought by the founder of tournament from business trip to South Africa. Tournaments are conducted at the “Nurtau” golf-club in Almaty. The organization of this golf-tournament corresponds to all sports standards, rules and the etiquette accepted in golf.
==History==
The tournament was first held in 1998 and is considered one of the oldest and prestigious tournaments in Kazakhstan. The first draw of the “Big Egg” cup was in 1998.
SEIMAR OPEN is sports selection tournament, and is the basic check of skills of amateur sportsmen. But besides by participation in Seimar Open, sportsmen can become applicants for participation in the Kazakhstan Open pro-am golf tournament, spent within the limits of European Challenge Tour.
